Bottom line up front: Is it worth paying for Claude when Gemini already comes with Workspace?

For technical teams, yes: Claude Team adds Claude Code to every seat and up to 1M tokens of context on some models, but it's a new $20/seat/mo line on top of Workspace.

You lose Gemini's native place in Gmail and Docs, since Claude reaches other tools only through connectors, and Gems don't import. Before you roll it out, write a one-page AI-use policy covering what company data people may paste in, which connectors are approved and who can add them. Connecting an assistant to Drive or GitHub gives it the same reach as the person who connected it, so whoever runs your Workspace sharing settings should sign off on connectors too. Start at the 2-seat minimum with the people doing technical work, and expand only when they can point to time it's saving.
