Bottom line up front: What does a team give up moving from Claude to Gemini?

Mostly coding help: Claude Code comes with every paid Claude seat, and Gemini's Jules coding agent isn't available on Workspace business accounts.

What you gain is AI inside Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Slides and Meet with no separate line item, from $7/user/mo on Business Starter, though the office-wide features need Standard or Plus. Nothing ports: chat history, custom instructions and saved prompts start fresh. That's why the first job isn't turning Gemini on. It's collecting the prompts and instructions your team actually relies on into a shared doc the company owns, so that know-how survives this switch and the next one. If your developers lean on Claude Code, keep their seats rather than moving everyone.
