2026 SaaS price increases: the Sticker Shock ledger

Every list-price increase we could verify this year across the B2B tools we track, with the old price, the new price, the date it took effect and the source. Nothing estimated, nothing from rumor. We add increases as vendors announce them.

What to do before your next renewal

  1. Find your plan in the ledgerIncreases usually land at renewal, so the date that matters is yours, not the vendor’s.
  2. Price the whole stackAdd every tool you pay for to the stack cost checker; it re-prices with our latest verified data.
  3. Check the cheaper tier and the annual optionA plan change or annual billing can cancel out an increase. The discounts page lists pay-yearly savings by tool.
  4. Price the switch honestlyIf the increase pushes you to move, read the migration guide first: switching has its own cost.

Which SaaS tools raised prices in 2026?

Among the tools we track, we verified list-price increases from 1Password, Microsoft, Squarespace, Xero, plus cost changes at QuickBooks Online, Zapier (AI steps) and Bitwarden. The full list with sources is in the ledger above.

How much did Microsoft 365 go up on July 1, 2026?

Business Basic went from $6 to $7 per user a month, Business Standard from $12.50 to $14, Microsoft 365 E3 from $36 to $39 and E5 from $57 to $60. Business Premium stayed at $22 and Office 365 E1 at $10. The frontline F1 plan without Teams rose the most, from $1.75 to $2.50.

When did the Xero price increase take effect?

On October 1, 2026, for new and existing US subscribers: Early went from $25 to $27 a month, Growing from $55 to $59 and Established from $90 to $97.

How do you verify a price increase?

We list an increase only when the old and new prices are on the vendor’s own page or in a named news report, and we link that source with the date we checked it. Increases we’ve seen reported elsewhere but can’t confirm are left out until we can.
