Which SaaS tool costs more?

Two tools, one question: which one lists higher at its cheapest paid plan? Every price comes from our verified pricing data, checked on the vendor’s own pricing page. Same 10 pairs for everyone today, a new game at midnight, and an endless mode when you want more.

Bottom line up front: Is this just a game, or does it tell me anything useful?

It's a two-minute game, and it's built on the same verified prices as every comparison on this site.

Ten pairs a day, and each price was read on the vendor's own pricing page and dated. The miss is the useful part: when a tool you'd have guessed was cheap turns out to list higher, open its pricing page from the round before you sign anything. Then take your real headcount to the stack cost checker, because the cheapest plan is rarely the one a growing team ends up paying for.

Prices are each tool’s published entry price for its cheapest paid plan, from our open pricing data (70+ tools qualify today). Per-user tools are only paired with per-user tools, and flat per-account plans with flat plans, so every pair is like for like. Your scores stay in this browser.

Why list prices are hard to guess

Plenty of people who approve software rarely look at the price table. They see a renewal invoice, a sales quote, or a card statement with a dozen small lines on it. So the gut feel for what a tool “should” cost is often off.

  • Per user or per account changes everything. A $49/mo flat plan can be cheaper than a $9 per-user plan once the team reaches six people. The game never mixes the two.
  • Annual and monthly prices differ. Most entry prices here are the annual rate shown per month; for the tools in our data that publish both, paying month to month costs about 20 to 33 percent more. Each tool page lists both where the vendor publishes both.
  • The cheapest plan is rarely the one you end up on. Seat minimums, contact limits and add-ons push teams up a tier. The stack cost checker prices your real headcount.

Got one wrong? That is the point. Open the tool’s pricing page from the round, or put the two side by side in a decision brief before your next renewal.

Price game FAQ

Where do the prices come from?

From HelpCompare’s open pricing dataset. Each price was read on the vendor’s own pricing page, and every answer shows the date we last verified it and links to the tool’s pricing page with the source.

Is the daily game the same for everyone?

Yes. The 10 pairs are picked from the date, so everyone playing on the same day gets the same game, which makes scores comparable. A new game starts at midnight in your time zone.

Which price counts, monthly or annual?

The published entry price in our dataset, which for most tools is the annual plan shown per month. The label under each price says exactly how the vendor bills it.

Do you store my scores?

Only in your browser. Nothing you play is sent to HelpCompare, and clearing your browser data resets your streak.

Can I share my result?

Yes. After round 10 you can copy a spoiler-free grid of your answers or share it to LinkedIn, X or WhatsApp.
