HubSpot has a native Salesforce importer built for going the other direction; moving from HubSpot into Salesforce runs through Salesforce’s own import tools and usually needs a bit more setup work.
Most buyers only budget for the new subscription. This estimates the hidden labor, data-cleanup, and retraining cost of actually making the switch.
Estimate assumes: 1 hour of data-mapping/cleaning labor per 2,000 records, a blended $75/hr ops rate, tiered migration & cleaning tooling fees, and 4 hours of retraining per seat at a $45/hr fully-loaded rate.
Salesforce’s Apex/Flow customization layer goes further than HubSpot’s usage-credit model for teams with complex, non-standard sales processes.
Salesforce’s Core/Advanced/Max editions (from $195/user/mo) now fold in AI, Slack, and analytics that used to be sold separately, which makes for simpler pricing than before, even if the entry price is higher than HubSpot’s.
Large sales orgs with complex approval chains, territory management, or multi-brand structures often outgrow HubSpot’s more opinionated data model.
There’s no native “Import from HubSpot” button inside Salesforce, so this runs through Salesforce’s own generic import tooling.
| Step | What happens |
|---|---|
| 1Export from HubSpot | Export contacts, companies, deals, and tickets as CSV from HubSpot’s data export tool (Settings → Import & Export → Export). |
| 2Clean and map fields | Match HubSpot properties to Salesforce fields, including any custom properties. This is the step most teams underestimate. |
| 3Import standard objects | Use Salesforce’s Data Import Wizard (small/medium volumes) or Data Loader (bulk, custom objects) to bring in Leads, Contacts, Accounts, and Opportunities. |
| 4Rebuild automation | HubSpot workflows and sequences don’t transfer, so recreate the equivalent logic in Salesforce Flow. |
| 5Reconnect integrations | Re-point your marketing, support, and billing tools at Salesforce instead of HubSpot. |
| 6Validate and reconcile | Spot-check record counts and key fields between systems before decommissioning HubSpot. |
| Plan | HubSpot | Salesforce |
|---|---|---|
| Entry paid tier | $20/seat/mo (Sales Hub Starter, standard price) | Starter Suite: $25/user/mo (Sales Cloud Core: $195/user/mo) |
| Mid tier | $90/seat/mo billed annually (Sales Hub Professional), plus a $1,500 one-time onboarding fee | Advanced: $395/user/mo |
| Top tier | $150/seat/mo billed annually (Sales Hub Enterprise), plus a $3,500 one-time onboarding fee | Max: $550/user/mo |
Salesforce’s Sales Cloud editions fold in Slack, Tableau Next analytics and built-in AI that used to be priced separately (the full Agentforce for Sales suite is included only in Max), so factor that into a like-for-like comparison rather than comparing sticker price alone.
| Feature | HubSpot | Salesforce equivalent |
|---|---|---|
| Workflow automation | Workflows/sequences | Flow Builder (more powerful, steeper learning curve) |
| AI features | Breeze (credit-based) | Agentforce for Sales included in Max; add-on from $125/user/mo on Core and Advanced |
| Custom objects | Limited on lower tiers | Native, extensive on all paid editions |
| Onboarding fees | $1,500 (Professional) or $3,500 (Enterprise), one-time | Typically implementation-partner driven; varies widely |

No, there’s no dedicated one-click connector. Most teams use Salesforce’s Data Import Wizard or Data Loader with a HubSpot CSV export, or a third-party migration service for larger datasets.
Rebuilding HubSpot’s workflows and sequences as Salesforce Flows, and remapping custom properties; neither transfers automatically.
Data Import Wizard for small-to-medium volumes of standard objects; Data Loader (or a partner tool) for bulk imports and custom objects.
Not required, but recommended for anything beyond a few thousand records: dedicated migration services handle deduplication and historical activity timelines more reliably than manual CSV work.
