Attio vs HubSpot: Which CRM Fits Your Team in 2026?

Attio is a newer, data-model-first CRM with a free plan for 3 seats and per-user paid plans from $35. HubSpot is the all-in-one incumbent with a free CRM for 2 users and Starter at $20 a seat. Here is what each costs as you add people, and how the move works.

Bottom line up front: Should a growing sales team pick Attio or HubSpot as its CRM?

HubSpot fits a team that wants the cheaper seat and one vendor for marketing, sales and service; Attio fits a team that wants to shape the CRM around its own data and will pay for that.

On list price HubSpot Starter is $20 a seat (the $7 figure is a limited-time promo) against Attio Plus at $35 a user on annual billing, and Plus stops at 10 seats before Pro at $79 a user. Price both at the headcount you expect next year, because a CRM is the tool you least want to move twice, and that seat cliff lands just as a team starts growing. Attio's flexibility has a cost of its own: custom objects only pay off if one person owns the data model, otherwise every rep adds fields and the reports stop agreeing. I'd name that owner before signing, and if nobody has the time, HubSpot's more opinionated setup is the safer fit.

Heads up: HubSpot lists a limited-time, new-customer promo of $7 a seat for Starter. This page uses the $20 a seat standing price, since promotions expire; check hubspot.com/pricing for the current offer.

How they actually differ

Both are seat-priced CRMs with a free tier. The difference is scope: HubSpot sells a connected suite of hubs, Attio sells one flexible CRM built around your own objects and data.

Seats and caps

Attio Free covers up to 3 seats, Plus up to 10, and Pro and Enterprise are unlimited. Each plan also caps records: 50,000 on Free, 250,000 on Plus, 1,000,000 on Pro. HubSpot’s free CRM covers up to 2 users and Starter is priced per seat.

Credits

Every Attio plan includes monthly credits for its AI and automation features: seat credits (100 a user on Free, 500 on Plus, 1,000 on Pro, 2,500 on Enterprise) plus a workspace pool (250, 1,500 and 10,000 a month, custom on Enterprise). Budget for these if you plan to lean on automation.

Moving between them

Attio has a Migrate CRM button (Import2) that pulls companies, people, deals, custom objects, notes, tasks and files from HubSpot, free on any paid plan, run by a workspace admin. Going the other way you export from Attio (a full workspace export to CSV, admins only) and import the files into HubSpot. Attio’s workspace export does not include emails.

Attio

HubSpot

  • The $7 Starter price is a limited-time promo
  • Higher tiers are not covered on this page
  • Suite depth you may not need for a pure CRM

What this means for your team

  • Audit reports: HubSpot states a SOC 2 report on its own site; we found no SOC 2 statement for Attio. If your security team requires SOC 2, ask Attio directly before shortlisting.
  • Single sign-on: Attio includes it on Enterprise; HubSpot includes it on Professional. If your team signs in through Okta, Microsoft Entra ID or Google, price the plan that includes SSO, not the entry plan.
  • Health data: HubSpot will sign a HIPAA business associate agreement (HubSpot: Enterprise). We found no BAA offer for Attio, so keep protected health information out of it.
  • Working offline: HubSpot works offline only in part; Attio doesn’t document an offline mode. Details are in the Offline mode row above.
  • Office-only access: HubSpot can restrict sign-ins to approved IP ranges on Starter. That suits an office network or a company VPN; fully remote teams need a VPN for it to work.
  • Where your data lives: HubSpot lets you choose US, EU, Canada, Australia on Starter. This matters for teams hiring across the EU, UK or Australia.

Attio: worth knowing

  • NoteAttio imports companies, people, deals, custom objects, notes, tasks and files from other CRMs (HubSpot listed) with Import2, free, on Plus, Pro and Enterprise; admins only. source
  • NoteAdmins can export the whole workspace to CSV on all plans; emails cannot be exported. source

HubSpot: worth knowing

  • RemoteHubSpot's trusted-IP login restriction also applies to the mobile app, so reps logging in from outside the allowed range on a phone are blocked. source
  • SecurityEach HubSpot account is hosted in one data center (US, EU, Canada or Australia); paid accounts can migrate to another region. source
  • RemoteUsers can see every device, browser and app where they are signed in and log out of lost devices remotely. source
