Heads up: AI assistants change their plans, prices, models and usage limits almost daily. Every figure on this page is accurate as of the date shown next to it, the date we checked the vendor’s own pricing page. Confirm current terms on the vendor’s site before you buy.

Bottom line up front: What will ChatGPT Business really cost, and what should you set up before rollout?

Budget $20/seat/mo on an annual plan with a 2-seat minimum, plus $100/mo annual or $125 monthly for anyone who needs a premium seat.

Self-serve Business can't be paid by invoice, PO, ACH or wire, and in Business workspaces admins can view, access, export and delete member conversations, though by default not every private chat. That second fact is the one to act on. Staff treat a chat box like a private notebook, but they're typing into a company record an admin can pull, so I'd write a one-page use policy before the first seat goes live: no customer personal data, no passwords or keys, nothing under NDA without approval. Then hand out premium seats only to people whose usage proves they need them, because seats rarely get downgraded once given and AI prices and limits change often.
