Bottom line up front: How do you move a team from Perplexity to ChatGPT without losing its research?

Start with your Projects, not your chat history, since no importer exists and the reusable value sits in each Project's instructions and files.

Copy every Project's instructions (up to 8,000 characters) and download its files, export the answers worth keeping as PDF, Markdown or DOCX, and rebuild each Project as a custom GPT or ChatGPT project. For a team the bill usually drops, to $20 a Standard seat a month on annual billing against $400 a seat a year on Enterprise Pro. Two things change that people don't expect. Answers no longer carry a citation by default, so anyone whose work gets fact-checked should keep asking for sources, and Business members can't export their own chats later, so set the rule now that anything worth keeping goes into a shared project or doc. I'd run both for a week, then cut Perplexity seats ahead of your renewal, because reductions only take effect at the next billing period.

    No chat history moves. ChatGPT answers do not carry Perplexity’s citation on every answer by default. SCIM on ChatGPT needs Enterprise (quote), while on Perplexity it came with an Enterprise Max seat. Business members cannot export their own chats later.
