Switching from ClickUp to Notion

Notion has no ClickUp importer. Export ClickUp tasks as CSV and import them with Notion’s CSV importer, which creates a database per file; docs, comments and time entries are rebuilt by hand.

Bottom line up front: How painful is it to move a team from ClickUp to Notion?

More painful than the reverse trip, because Notion has no ClickUp importer: only task rows travel by CSV, and docs, comments, time entries and automations are rebuilt by hand.

Seats also go up, from $7/user/mo to $10/member/mo billed yearly, and you lose native time tracking, sprints and Gantt. So don't migrate a task database, migrate knowledge. Move the docs and wikis your team actually reads, export one CSV per List only for projects still open, and keep a full ClickUp export on file for the closed work. Since Notion bills every member on paid plans, invite only the people who need to edit, not everyone who once had a ClickUp login. Rebuild relations and views next, and cancel ClickUp once the team is working in Notion day to day.

    You lose native time tracking, sprints and Gantt; every member is billed on Notion’s paid plans; the entry price is $3 a seat higher.
