Switching from Airtable to Notion

Notion has no Airtable importer. Export each Airtable table as CSV and import it with Settings, Import, CSV in Notion; each file becomes a database, and links between tables are rebuilt as relations.

Bottom line up front: Is moving from Airtable to Notion as cheap as it looks?

Not always: Notion Plus lists at $10/member/mo against $20 for Airtable Team, but Notion bills every member, viewers included, where Airtable bills editors only.

There's no importer, so each table moves as CSV into its own Notion database, linked records arrive as text, and interfaces, sync and automations are rebuilt with Notion's own features. Before you commit, list everyone who only looks at your bases today, especially people outside the team who check an interface, because each of them becomes a paid member or needs another way to see the data. Then plan the import order. Bring over the tables other tables point to first, like clients or projects, and the ones that reference them second, so you can add relation properties as you go instead of patching text fields across every database at the end. Run a count of rows in each CSV against Notion after import.

    How the migration actually works

    Every member is billed, including viewers; Notion databases are not built for 50,000-record tables or cross-base sync; interfaces and automations have no direct equivalent.
