Bottom line up front: How do I move a working Excel spreadsheet into Airtable?

Clean it, import it with Airtable's native importer, and plan to rebuild the logic, because formulas arrive as values and pivot tables, charts and macros don't come across.

The importer takes Excel files up to 5 MB and CSV up to 100 MB, and a Team base holds 50,000 records at $20/seat/mo annual. Before you import, write down what every formula column actually calculates, because once it lands as a value it looks right on day one, then goes stale the first time an input changes, and nobody notices for weeks. Rebuild those as formula fields and turn repeated text columns into linked records. On cutover day, make the old workbook read-only and tell everyone, because two live copies drift apart within a week and you end up reconciling by hand. Give view-only access to anyone who just looks, since on Team every Commenter is billed.
