Bottom line up front: What will Asana cost once security and AI are in the picture?

More than the $10.99/seat/mo entry price suggests: SSO and SCIM are Enterprise features, the admin audit log is Enterprise+, and AI Studio is billed on credits.

The credits need the most care, because AI Studio is embedded in workflows and starts near 50,000 credits/mo. Metered AI inside automations doesn't scale with headcount. It scales with how often your rules fire, so one busy intake form can burn more credits than the rest of the team put together. I'd pilot it on a single workflow for a month, see what it actually uses, and only then switch it on elsewhere. Separately, get IT's SSO requirement in writing before you sign, since that one line decides if you're buying Enterprise.

Asana: worth knowing

  • RemoteAsana's IP allowlist can be applied to all users, only organization members, or only guests, and optionally to API traffic. source
  • SecurityMandatory 2FA on Enterprise tiers can be enforced for guests as well as domain members, useful for outside collaborators not on your SSO. source
  • RemoteWith data residency, all of an organization's Asana data must sit in one region (US, Frankfurt, Tokyo or Sydney). source
  • SecurityMobile app controls that limit downloads, screenshots and copy/paste are listed on the pricing page as a Permissions Management add-on. source

Asana in context

How Asana connects to the rest of the software we track — head-to-head research, switching paths, and the closest alternatives in its category.

Where this data comes from

HelpCompare records pricing and feature data from vendor pricing pages and documentation at the time each comparison is researched, then re-checks it on a published schedule. This entity page is generated from those records — it does not introduce any figure that has not already been verified on a comparison page.

  • Vendor pricing and documentation — asana.com, checked September 17, 2026.
  • HelpCompare research — 5 comparison pages listed above, each with its own verification date.
  • G2 — aggregate rating and review count, checked . Review counts change daily; treat them as a snapshot.
  • Machine-readable copy — /data/tools.json, /data/tools.csv, and the open data hub.
Prices change often and vendors do not always announce it. Every figure here carries the date it was last checked — confirm current pricing with the vendor before you buy. If you find something out of date, the comparison page it came from is linked in the table above.
