Bottom line up front: Should we leave 1Password for LastPass to cut the per-seat cost?

I wouldn't for most teams: LastPass Business is $7 a user against $8.99 on 1Password Business, and the only way in is a CSV that carries just logins and passwords.

Custom item types, custom fields, passkeys and attachments move by hand, shared vaults become shared folders you rebuild yourself, and LastPass warns that imports of 200 or more items at once may fail. A password manager switch is also a security event, with a plain-text export on someone's laptop and every person juggling two vaults for a while. If savings are the goal, take the competing quote to your renewal instead. Vendors will usually discount to keep seats they already have, and the time to ask is a few months before the renewal date, while walking away is still believable. Switch only for something 1Password doesn't give you, like LastPass's 100+ Business policies or a data region beyond the US, Canada and EU.

    1Password’s CSV export covers logins and passwords only; other item types must be moved by hand.

    1Export from 1PasswordIn the 1Password desktop app, export each vault to 1PUX (all item types) or CSV (logins and passwords only). Exports are unencrypted: store the file safely and delete it after the import.

    3Import in batchesIn the web vault, open Advanced options, then Import, choose 1Password and upload the CSV; keep batches under 200 items.
