Editorial assessmentFeature for feature, the business plans are close: shared vaults or folders, SSO-based login, SCIM, admin recovery and family accounts for staff. The differences are price, where the small-team cut-offs sit, and trust.
1Password’s Teams Starter Pack is a flat $24.95 a month for up to 10 users on annual billing, with up to 10 more seats at $4.99 each according to its pricing page; it has no SSO or SCIM. LastPass Teams is $4.25 a user for up to 50 users, with 25 security policies and no federated login.
LastPass’s own notices describe two incidents in 2022: an attacker took source code and internal secrets, then accessed cloud backups that included backups of customer vault data. LastPass says sensitive vault fields were encrypted, while other data, such as website URLs, was not.
1Password says independent security firms review its products and publishes penetration test reports in its Trust Center. HelpCompare records only what each vendor states on its own site.
1Password imports directly from a LastPass account in its desktop app, or from a LastPass CSV, and turns LastPass shared folders into vaults with their permissions. LastPass imports 1Password’s CSV export; imports of 200 or more items at once may fail.
List prices checked September 19, 2026, annual billing unless marked. LastPass publishes annual prices only; LastPass Teams is capped at 50 users. 1Password’s Teams Starter Pack includes 10 users, with up to 10 extra seats at $4.99 each. Taxes are not included.
You want a flat price for a small team, published monthly pricing, or are leaving LastPass and want its shared folders imported with permissions.
The lowest per-user price matters most, you want 100+ admin policies or a data-region choice on Business, and you are comfortable with its incident history.
Uses your selections above. Estimate excludes add-ons, overages, and negotiated discounts.
Both offer 14-day trials of their business plans. Read each vendor’s security documentation before you commit.
