Quick verdict: Create a Backblaze group and deploy the app to each Mac and Windows computer. Once the first backups finish and a test restore works, stop Carbonite from renewing. Carbonite keeps data for 30 days after a subscription lapses, so restore anything you need before then. Backblaze has no server backup.

    How the migration actually works

    Windows servers backed up on Carbonite Power or Ultimate need a different product; Backblaze Computer Backup excludes servers and NAS.

    2Create a Backblaze Business Backup groupCreate a Group, choose Managed or Unmanaged, and invite members or deploy with an MSI installer or your MDM tool (Jamf, Intune and others).

    Its FAQ says 30 days after the subscription lapses.

    Will my version history move with me?

    No. Backup services do not import each other’s history. Keep the old account until you no longer need its older versions, or restore anything you must keep before cancelling.
