Bottom line up front: Is Carbonite's 25-computer plan enough for an office?

Only if your data is small: Safe Backup Pro Core covers up to 25 computers but only 250 GB of storage on the account, for $287.99/year.

Extra storage is $99 per extra 100 GB/year and billing is annual only, while Power ($799.99/year) and Ultimate ($1,299.99/year) add Windows servers. The detail I'd worry about is quieter: a NAS whose path changes, or whose selecting Windows admin stops signing in, is dropped from the backup within 60 days. Backups rarely fail loudly. They stop covering one thing and keep looking fine everywhere else, so name one person to check each month that every machine and the NAS show a recent completed backup, and put the NAS on the offboarding list when that admin leaves. Measure every machine's data before the 30-day trial ends.
