Switching from Adobe Express to Figma

Figma has no Adobe Express importer. Export Express presentations as PPTX for Figma Slides and graphics as images, then rebuild templates as components.

Heads up: AI features, allowances and prices on design tools change often; figures here are as published on September 19, 2026.

Quick verdict: Move to Figma when your work shifts to product, web or interface design. Export Express designs as PPTX or PNG, import them into Figma Slides or onto the canvas, and assign seat types so reviewers use Collab or free viewer access.

Estimate assumes: 1 hour of data-mapping/cleaning labor per 2,000 records, a blended $75/hr ops rate, tiered migration & cleaning tooling fees, and 4 hours of retraining per seat at a $45/hr fully-loaded rate.

    How the migration actually works

Figma advertises no stock library; Adobe Stock assets licensed in Express stay there.

    StepWhat you do
1Pick what to keepList the templates and designs you still reuse; most teams move their top templates and archive the rest as PDFs.
2Export from Adobe ExpressDownload each design as PDF, PPTX, PNG, JPEG or MP4, or save it to Google Drive, OneDrive or Dropbox. There is no account-wide bulk export.
3Set up FigmaChoose Professional or Organization and assign Full seats to designers, Dev seats to developers and Collab seats to reviewers; viewers are free.
4Rebuild your brand kitRecreate logos, colours and fonts, and upload licensed fonts again; brand kits and locked templates do not move between tools.
5Import into FigmaImport PPTX files into Figma Slides and drop PNG or JPG exports onto the canvas; rebuild reusable layouts as components.
6Archive and cancelKeep a PDF archive of everything you did not rebuild, then cancel the old plan at renewal.

What this path doesn’t do for you:

Express templates, brand controls, Firefly credits and scheduled social posts do not carry over.

    Before you cut over

    • Set up single sign-on in Figma on Organization before you invite the team, so accounts are created through your identity provider rather than by hand.
    • Figma adds offline access (partial): install the desktop or mobile app for staff who work on the move.

    Frequently Asked Questions

Can Figma import Adobe Express designs?

    Will it cost more?

Per designer, yes: $16 for a Figma Full seat on annual billing against $7.99 for Express Teams.

    Can reviewers join for free?

Yes, viewers and commenters are free on Figma’s paid plans.

Will my templates and fonts move over?

Brand kits, locked templates and uploaded fonts do not transfer between tools. Plan to rebuild the brand kit and re-upload licensed fonts; stock assets licensed inside one tool stay in that tool.
