What an LLC costs in Arizona

$50 in your first year. That's $50 to file with Arizona Corporation Commission (Corporations Division) — and nothing recurring, because this state requires no annual report.

First-year breakdown

  • State filing fee $50 One-time, paid when you form the LLC
  • Total, first year $50

The requirement nobody mentions

Publication

Required within 60 days of formation: notice of Articles of Organization filing published 3 consecutive publications in a newspaper of general circulation in the county of the known place of business (A.R.S. Title 29). EXCEPTION: if county population exceeds 800,000 the Commission publishes on its own website instead - in practice exempting Maricopa and Pima county LLCs from newspaper cost.

Keeping it alive

Ongoing filings

Arizona requires no annual or periodic report for a standard LLC. LLCs can be administratively dissolved for failing to maintain a statutory agent at all times.

State tax: No franchise tax or annual tax on Arizona LLCs.

What we're less sure about

Caveats on this page

  • Newspaper publication cost for non-Maricopa/Pima counties is a real variable third-party expense not included (not a state fee).
  • $85 expedite composition unverified.
  • Standard processing time unconfirmed.
